Communications and Advocacy Coordinator  Jewel Thomas

Jewel Thomas joined FIND in October 2006 as Communications and Advocacy Coordinator. Her responsibilities will include working closely with the Senior Policy and Implementation Officer, Dr. Vinand Nantulya, in managing FIND’s communications and advocacy strategy, promoting the organisation’s activities and developing media relations.

Jewel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Sociology/Anthropology from Ohio Wesleyan University, USA, and earned a diploma in Communications & Advertising in Geneva.

Before joining FIND, she was Communications Officer for the International Electrotechnical Commission in Geneva. Jewel also worked at the Tribune de Genève and the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, France.
