Dr. Vinand Nantulya

Dr. Vinand Nantulya is Senior Policy and Implementation Officer at FIND, where he heads the policy, communications and resource mobilization team. He joined
FIND in February 2006 from the Global Fund to
Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, where he
served as Senior Health Advisor. Prior to
joining the Global Fund, Dr. Nantulya served as
Senior Research Scientist in international
health at the Harvard School of Public Health.
He has also worked as
Senior Research Scientist and Head of Programs at
the Nairobi-based International Laboratory for
Research on Animal Diseases (ILRAD), now known as ILRI, and later
worked with the African Medical and Research
Foundation (AMREF), a Nairobi- based health
development NGO with operations in eight African
countries where he was Director for Strategy,
responsible for strategic planning, and program
monitoring and evaluation. He is Adjunct Research
Professor, University of Sciences in Philadelphia,
USA; and Professor, Health and International
Relations, the Geneva School of Diplomacy,
University of Geneva.
Dr. Nantulya has served on several scientific committees of the WHO, and the WHO Tropical Diseases Research Program. Currently, he is Vice President of the Board of the J.R.S. Biodiversity Foundation, Member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC), Member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Thomson Scientific for Global Academic & Government Markets, co-Chair of the Retooling Task Force of Stop TB Partnership, and co-Chair of the Task Force on Product Development Partnership (PDP) Performance Metrics.
Dr. Nantulya has
published widely in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. His research articles have covered topics in the
field of immunology, parasitology, and international
health. He is Fellow of the Royal College of
Pathologists (FRCPath), London. A national of Uganda,
Dr. Nantulya received his MD degree from Dar es Salaam
University and a Ph.D. in Immunology of Infectious
Diseases from Nairobi University.
