Lead Advisor, FIND (Uganda) Dr. Zoe Nakuya

After receiving her medical degree in 2002 and before practicing medicine, Zoe did promotional and advocacy work for a number of health and social development projects in Uganda and Rwanda. She was a lead fundraiser for several social causes such as educational support for orphans in Rwanda and other programs for the disabled in Uganda.

During her appointment as Social and Health Support Coordinator for one of the CARETECH programs for people with learning disabilities, Zoe earned a Masters degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing with the London School of Economics and Political Science.

With her knowledge of health systems and experience in organizing health programs at different levels in diverse environments, Zoe joined FIND in May 2008 as Lead Advisor for FIND (Uganda). In conjunction with the Ministry of Health-Uganda and other partners, they are currently working on developing the Uganda National Health Laboratory Policy, under a FIND-MoH collaboration.
