After receiving his MBA from MIT Sloan, followed by several years of experience in public health with Management Sciences for Health, Dr. Evan Lee has leveraged this wide ranging experience to work on concerns that cut across the public health and business domain. His accomplishments include managing the sleeping sickness program for Médecins Sans Frontières in Uganda, as well as the development of a strategic plan for scaling up implementation of long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) which helped catalyze partners in the public and private sectors to work together to increase demand, supply, and the uptake of LLINs for malaria control. His work has included collaboration with the Malaria Medicines and Supplies Service of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership to develop a demand forecasting database, and produce an updated Sources and Prices Guide to malaria commodities, i.e., drugs, nets, insecticides, among other projects.
Dr. Lee has also worked closely with Medicines for Malaria Venture and FIND to examine issues related to the downstream implementation and uptake of new products (drugs and diagnostics), and has extensive contact with many of the major players in malaria, including the USAID-funded DELIVER project managed by John Snow Inc, Swiss Tropical Institute, Malaria Consortium, MSH, etc.
Since joining FIND in June, 2007, Dr. Lee is currently working on projects with both the RBM Partnership Secretariat and the World Health Organization.
