Scientific Assistant for Malaria Diagnostics
Audrey Albertini
Audrey Albertini

Audrey Albertini joined FIND as Scientific Assistant for Malaria Diagnostics at the end of 2006. She reports to the Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Mark Perkins. Her responsibilities include assisting the team in all malaria related tasks, as well as preparing the monthly Gantt charts for each diagnostic project in FIND’s disease portfolio.

Following a University degree in Biology, Audrey obtained a Masters degree specializing in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Industry from the Universities of Grenoble and Angers (France). To complement her technical and scientific background, she is currently taking a long distance course in epidemiology.

It was the discovery of the advantages of Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs) and their applications for improving diagnostics in developing countries that led Audrey to work on a number of QA and R&D projects for the IVD industry. Audrey’s experience also includes working for a biotechnology firm in Belgium where she developed and optimized RDTs.
