Dr Eric Adam is a biologist and protein
biochemist. After completion of the European
engineering program in Biotechnology in
Strasbourg (France), he joined New England
Biolabs Inc., in Massachusetts (U.S.A.) as a
doctoral fellow where he worked on protein
splicing and purification as well as on novel
in-vivo screening systems for anti-mycobacterial
compounds. Eric then worked on high throughput
protein production for crystallography and
structure-based drug design of novel
antimicrobial compounds at Syrrx, Inc. a
biotechnology company in San Diego, (U.S.A.).
Eric later returned to Geneva where, as Director
of Drug Discovery and Development, he helped launch
the Geneva-based Biotech start-up Athelas SA. Prior
to joining FIND in February 2007, Eric also founded
Biosafetys, a company dedicated to solving infection
problems linked to implantable medical devices.
