Project Management

FIND is ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000 certified for “Project Management for Design, Development and Manufacturing of IVD” and for “Evaluation and Demonstration of IVD”, respectively.

FIND has more than thirty projects in its pipeline, which are grouped into three programs: Tuberculosis, human African trypanosomiasis or sleeping sickness, and malaria. Each disease program is managed by dedicated Project Managers. The Office of Project Management also includes Regulatory Affairs and Logistics processes.

Monthly project management meetings are organized for each program in order to monitor progress and define next steps for all projects.

The quality standards for managing FIND projects are described in the Project Management Standard Operating Procedure (short version). Projects are structured by phases and milestones. They start with a Concept phase and are walked through Feasibility, Development, Evaluation, Demonstration, Access and Impact, a total of seven phases and seven milestones. Milestone achievement requires the detailed, documented attainment of pre-defined targets.
