Dr. Gerald H. Moeller

Dr. Moeller has more than 30 years experience in the HealthCare Industry.

From 1975 to 1998 he was with Boehringer Mannheim, a leader in the Diagnostic and Biopharmaceutical Industry. After years of functional responsibility in Q.A., Marketing and R&D in Germany, Japan and the U.S., he was promoted to heading various business units, such as Decentralized Diagnostics and Advanced Diagnostics & Biochemicals.

He was Chief Technology Officer of the company and CEO of Boehringer Mannheim Therapeutics before being appointed CEO of the worldwide Boehringer Mannheim Group, with 18,000 employees and a turnover of approximately $4 billion in 1997. In 1998 Boehringer Mannheim was acquired by ROCHE, Switzerland. Dr. Moeller joined ROCHE as Head of PharmaDevelopment and Marketing and is a member of the Executive Committee.

He left ROCHE at the end of 1998 and since then has joined the Board of several BioTech Companies in Germany, UK and US. He was Chairman of Powderject Plc and Strakan Plc. Today he is Chairman of the Board of BRAHMS AG, Morphosys AG, Pelikantechnologies Inc., MTM Laboratories AG, Invendo AG, BioAgency AG and a member of the Board of Bionostics Inc., Febit AG and Vivacta Ltd. Dr. Moeller is also Chairman of 4sigma, a German HealthCare Service provider and CEO of HBM BioCapitalManagement, a member of the Swiss-based HBM Group, a leading European venture capital firm in healthcare.
